An experienced operations department enables Paragon to provide personalized hands on operational assistance to the individual property and general manager. Our operations staff works throughout the year to maximize profits from each operation. During October they work closely with each property manager in developing both an operational budget, a capital budget and marketing plan to accomplish operational goals and objectives. Since 1961 Paragon has been involved with many major franchises. We know systems and standards and are able to provide help regardless of affiliation. Regularly scheduled visits are made to each property by our operations personnel, marketing staff, and Senior Management.
Accounting and Payroll
Accounting records are maintained at our corporate office, with copies at each property. All bookkeeping is processed centrally through this department at the corporate office with on-line input from the hotels. Experience has shown that we can, and do, operate a given property with one to four less employees than ordinarily would be required in a typical "on-property" accounting department. We process payroll and include the employees in our group health plan if desired. Paragon can, as an option, place the property under our master insurance umbrella at costs generally far better than would otherwise be available. Volume enables us to pass on lower credit card discounts thus enhancing profitability of each property.
Marketing and Sales
Aggressive marketing and sales are necessary in today's competitive market. We are able to facilitate the development of each property's annual marketing plan along with key sales aids such as brochures, promotional flyers, supporting collateral material and menus. Coordination of special promotions, web-based marketing, public relations, media placement, advertising in addition to control of outdoor billboards and road signs are provided. Participation in sales blitz activity and direct assistance with sales efforts at the property level are all included in the department's responsibility. Paragon coordinates contracts of On Line Travel Agencies such as Expedia, Travelocity and Orbitz to insure best placement, rates and reservations with minimum cost.
Human resource management assists in the recruitment and staffing of key hotel positions and aids in compliance of EEO, immigration, wage & hour and employment law. Paragon’s Human Resource programs provide legal updates, claims management and benefits administration and employee training.
