Dave Kingston, CHA
Senior Vice President ~ Operations
As Senior Vice President of Operations, Mr. Kingston is responsible
for the property operations and revenue management of all
Paragon system hotels. Mr. Kingston joined the company in
1971 as an internal auditor, and progressed through the increasing
responsibilities of chief internal auditor, regional director
and divisional vice president of operations before being named
Director of Operations in 1990. He earned his BS degree in
sociology from the State University of New York and was designated
as a Certified Hotel Administrator by the American Hotel &
Motel Association in 1988. He provides tremendous experience
in financial analysis, franchise selection, pre-opening marketing,
hotel conversions and dispositions, operational turn-arounds,
and long range strategic planning. Mr. Kingston has served
on advisory boards for Ramada and Holiday Inns. He served
as Vice Chairman of the Western Regional Committee for the
International Association of Holiday Inns in 1999.He has recently
served on the Full Service Committee, Food and Beverage Innovation
Committee, Budget Committee and Reservations Sub-committee
for Bass Hotels and Resorts. In addition, Mr. Kingston retired
as a Colonel in the Arizona Air National Guard. As a part-time,
"citizen soldier" he served as Vice-Commander of
the 161st Air Refueling Wing and at State Headquarters as
Plans and Programs Officer for the entire State of Arizona.
Some of his awards and decorations include "Outstanding
Aircraft Commander", the Air Force Commendation Medal,
on three occasions, and the Meritorious Service Medal, on
two occasions.
